- 1.3 mm – a necklace of 1.3 mm - fine, and about the thickness of a U.S. dime (1.35 mm). Takes a pendant bail of about 1.7 mm or wider.
- 1.5 mm – 1.5 mm across - a fine gauge, about as thick as a U.S. penny, which is 1.52 mm thick. Takes a pendant bail of about 1.9 mm or wider.
- 1.7 mm – a necklace of 1.7 mm - light, and about as thick as a U.S. quarter, which is 1.75 mm thick. Takes a pendant bail of about 2.1 mm or wider.
