- 0.5 mm – 0.5 mm across - a very fine gauge, finer than a dime is thick, and a dime is only 1.35 mm. Takes a pendant bail of about 0.9 mm or wider.
- 0.7 mm – 0.7 mm across - a very fine gauge, finer than a dime is thick, and a dime is only 1.35 mm. Takes a pendant bail of about 1.1 mm or wider.
- 0.9 mm – a very fine chain at 0.9 mm across - a little thinner than a U.S. dime, which is 1.35 mm thick. Takes a pendant bail of about 1.3 mm or wider.
- 0.95 mm – a chain of 0.95 mm - very fine, and a little under the thickness of a U.S. dime (1.35 mm). Takes a pendant bail of about 1.4 mm or wider.
- 1 mm – a chain of 1 mm - fine, and a little thinner than a U.S. dime laid flat (1.35 mm). Takes a pendant bail of about 1.4 mm or wider.

- 1.1 mm – 1.1 mm across - a fine gauge, a little thinner than a U.S. dime laid flat (1.35 mm). Takes a pendant bail of about 1.5 mm or wider.
- 1.25 mm – a bracelet of 1.25 mm - fine, and about as thick as a U.S. dime, which is 1.35 mm thick. Takes a pendant bail of about 1.6 mm or wider.
- 1.3 mm – 1.3 mm across - a fine gauge, about as thick as a U.S. dime laid flat (1.35 mm). Takes a pendant bail of about 1.7 mm or wider.
